Min/Max stock levels set by warehouse

Is there a way to set product min/max levels by warehouse rather than by product?

For example:-

Say we have three stores A, B and C

For product A I need to set the min/max levels as:-

Store A min 10 max 50

Store B min 5 max 15

Store C min 1 max 5

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

    Dear Harold,

    You can define this in

Released item --> Plan --> Default order setting --> Define min/ Max per site and warehouse

but it will be per item

Thanks for the reply but I have multiple warehouses coming off a single site and as soon as I setup 1 of my warehouses and try to enter a new line for a new warehouse I get the error:-

Cannot create a record in Item purchase order settings (MVF_SITE). The record already exists.

Does this mean I have to give each warehouse an individual site of there own?

    Hi Harold,

The Min/Max and Multiple quantities you can set on 'Default order settings' apply to the Purchase orders (or sales orders, or whatever) that you create. These are also honoured by Master Planning, on the planned orders it creates. But they do not define Min/Max stocking levels.

If you want to define Min/Max for Master Planning, you use the 'Item Coverage' button on the same form. You can define them at whatever level you have set 'Coverage plan by dimension' on the Storage Dimension Group setup. You can only define 'Max' if you are using the Coverage code 'Min/Max'.

If you want to define Min/Max for warehouse processes, it depends on what warehouse management solution you are using. If you're using what I would call WMSII, you define it using the 'Warehouse items' form (Released product -> 'Manage inventory' tab in the ribbon bar). If you're using what I would call WHS (in R3 only) you use Replenishment templates and Location stocking limits. For both solutions, you can also use volumetric calculation to define a location's 'Max'.
