How does PTO Manager know which paycodes to accrue to and for.   In HR attendance there are time codes for this.  Where is this function in PTO Manager?

This is an old post so you most likely got an answer. However, I'd be interested to hear how you achieved it. My thought is it would require separate pay codes for OR vs. Other States or some other workaround.

I am sorry if i am not being clear.  Let me try this....

I have a PayCode HOUR OR for Hourly pay earned in Oregon.  I also a PayCode HOUR for income earned in states other than Oregon.

I have a PTO Code SickOR and a PTO Code SICK.

How do i tell the system that they only accrue SickOR when they are paid for HOUR OR.  They do not earn SickOR when they are paid for HOUR paycode.  They do earn SICK when they get paid for HOUR.

    any help is appreciated.

    RE: PTO Manager

I am looking for a Based on Feature.  Where i can say this person can accrue vacation based on straight time but not OT.   it looks like PTO is going to accrue vacation on all hours.   I have a client that is in many different states, so if we pick Massachusetts for example they have a sick time law that states they get 1 hour for every 30 the work.  My client could have an employee working in MA this week and CT the next.  I have setup separate paycodes for MA and CT and need to be able to say if they work at HOURMA those hours are included in the SICKMA accrual.

    Hi

After you set up the accrual schedules and the PTO codes in PTO manager, you assign the codes you set up to the employee card.   However, PTO manager (I believe) is mainly for sick and vacation or other PTO codes that accrue.  Jury duty, bereavement etc., do not accrue so therefore are not suited in PTO Manager.

but what if i have more than one PTO code.  Sick, Vac, Personal Jury Duty....  how does it know which bucket to take it out of?

In Setup-Pay Code - look at the Accrue section, are vacation and/or sick marked?  Then of course in the employee maintenance window, click on the vac/sick button make sure those accruals are marked.
