How many waiting workflows can Dynamics 365 can handle

Is there a maximum limit to the number of waiting workflows dynamics 365 can handle

    Its correct as Alex an David mentioned there is no limit Microsoft mentioned new release of Dynamics 365. You can find the

    There's no absolute maximum, and they don't add much performance overhead (though there will be a little as the asyncoperationbase will have more records). The main drawbacks of having a lot of waiting workflows are:

    • Each waiting instance has the workflow definition as it was at the time the workflow starts. If you change the workflow definition, you may get different workflow instances using different workflow definitions, which may cause issues, and can be hard to diagnose
    • For some version upgrades, CRM changes the structure of the asyncoperation records, and having a lot of these can significantly affect the time to upgrade

    Hi,

     I believe waiting worklow is more like a record in the database than an in-memory object. So, in a way, I don't think Dynamics cares that much - it's more a question of the database performance/disk space usage..
