Is there a maximum limit to the number of waiting workflows dynamics 365 can handle

Hi,
I believe waiting worklow is more like a record in the database than an in-memory object. So, in a way, I don't think Dynamics cares that much - it's more a question of the database performance/disk space usage..
There's no absolute maximum, and they don't add much performance overhead (though there will be a little as the asyncoperationbase will have more records). The main drawbacks of having a lot of waiting workflows are:
