Same Document Number for Different SOP Transaction

(0) ShareShare

I have just received an email from my PM manager where he came across that the Same SOP transaction document number has been assigned to different customers. We both are amazed to see that how same document number can be assigned to different customers as the Document number is unique for each and every SOP Transaction.

I am really into mess now what should I reply to my PM email.

Nicole

The link is talking about 'Master Number', you mentioned "same SOP transaction document number has been assigned to different customers", throughout the documnet changed path like Quote >> Order>> to Invoice, master number remain same so the customer number also remain same , only the SOP Number gets changed according to the defined Document IDs.Littel confussed here. Anyway if your issue is resolved it's the most pleasant thing. :D

    Hi Almas,

    You are right.

There was some kind of confusion created as I had just received an email from my PM Manager so I was in a bit of hustle.

The article shared by Bob was kind of solution I was looking for.

Appreciate the input given by you and Bob.

This Forum is really a great platform for sharing and improving the knowledge related to GP.
