Hi!

I'm trying to create a new server instance for NAV 2017, but i can't find detailed instructions on how to do it.

I've looked in several Dynamics NAV books, but none of them mention how to.

Is there a site where it's explained or can anyone give me the instructions?

    Hi, You can use NAV Administration, or run the New-NAVServerInstance command in the NAV Administration Shell.

    open Administration tool and click ADD INSTANCE

    values all fields in red:
    instance name and ports in sequence ensuring that they are not already occupied by other services

    choose a service account, which must be of type Log on as a service and logged in as db owner on the sql database

    if you are on your premises I recommend leaving the Network Service
