This may be the same or a related issue although it is quite old.

    Hey Patrick!

When you access the environment, does it shows "Dynamics" on the navigation bar, or "powerapps"?  When you are provisioning an environment on PPAC you're asked for environment type, Name, description. You're also asked if you would like to provision a Database (first form).  After this, you're taken to a second form that asks if you would like to deploy Dynamics Apps (and sample data).  This is a very important step:

    - Environments with a Database but no Dynamics Apps are "Dataverse environments". They don't allow deploying Dynamics apps afterwards. If you login to the environment, you should see purple theme, "power Apps" on the top and the only app deployed is "Solution Health".

    - If you provision a Database and Select an app, additional tables and solutions are deployed.  You'll see the blue theme, Dynamics 365 on the ribbon and different apps deployed.

    Best regards,

    That was it, thank you!

One tiny point of clarification, for future readers.

The answer says "when you go into the environment..."

That refers to clicking on the environment URL on the Environment page in the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC). That url will look likeL *.crm.dynamics.com

    Thanks Daniel !
