Sometimes you might face different issues with connecting Tableau, especially if your windows system is not updated. Also, keep in mind that they announced that they stopped supporting windows 9 and early versions, so if you don't have windows 10 or 11, I recommend installing them before trying to connect with Tableau. If you get further problems with connecting it, I can recommend you check for the information on websites like Alpha Serve. Usually, they have many detailed guides regarding various problems customers may face when using the Tableau application.
