Recurring data jobs with data packages for import

Hello folks,

We're having some issue in importing data packages using recurring data projects. Every message/file in input ends with Processed with error while I can't dig into what the problem is, since "Execution details" button is not active:

This is the setup we're using for the recurring data project:

We discovered that if we use the "File" as Supported data source type - instead of Package - the import of files keeps on ending with error, but in this case the system allows us to navigate inside the Execution details where we can find this error log:

Has anyone of you ever faced something similiar?

I guess you have two questions / problems:

1) How to get better error logs in data package import

2) Why your import fails

Correct?

About part 2, can you succesfully import data entitites / packages of some simple standard entities?

Also was it working in the past with these files that you are using?

So, you should find out if your import data is bad, your entities have bugs, or if there's some general system issue in the data import.

And which version of D365 do you have? There was a critical bug in 10.0.14 in data management. If you have 10.0.14, please install latest updates from LCS and try again.

Here are my answers:

Can you succesfully import data entitites / packages of some simple standard entities?

Yes

Also was it working in the past with these files that you are using?

It was actually the first time we tried with recurring data jobs, but our tests using manual import with simple data projects had a positive outcome (meaning no problems in mapping/data validation/etc.).

And which version of D365 do you have

It's 10.0.13

Thanks for the additional info.

You say that it occurs in Recurring data job.

1) Do you mean Recurring integrations or Data Package API?

2) If you upload the same package manually, do you experience the same issues?

1) Recurring integrations

2) Nope. The package is imported with success.

I should also mention that:

Data entity is a custom one

Data entity has child entities (header + n rows)

The scope of one of the child entities is to manage some files which are inside the zip in order to create the attachments in D365
