I am attempting to create a Balance Sheet report that will consolidate multiple periods with eliminations to one report at the consolidated level for our companies. I've successfully run this report as each period individually with the link to an excel file with the elimination amounts for the specific period, but when I try & build the row/column/tree format that pulls multiple periods together it fails to process.
I'm trying to convert a standard report built in excel using 'F9 from Infor' that we've used for years. Management now wants to know if we can convert to using only MR or MR w/Excel. Columns I'm pulling are: 'Current Period', Prior Fiscal Year End (12/2013), and 'Prior Year Current Period' with links to a single worksheet with 4 columns & 6 rows (A=Description, B=Current Period, C=PYFYE, D=PYCP) for the elimination amounts at the Consolidated Company level, the report fails each time.
I've included some partial screen shots if it helps. I feel I'm close but just missing some piece that hasn't been shown in any training video or document I've read yet. Unfortunately, no training docs give examples of eliminations for multiple periods in the same report. If there are examples out there I'd love to get them.
Once I've got the BS working, I will be creating an Income Statement & Cash Flows with the same basic roll-up to the Consolidated level.
Format for wks link is D=B2, G=C2, J=D2 On investment in affiliates Elim line. Additional lines are below but of same structure. I do have the link to the line on the tree definition but no column restriction as it wasn't necessary when I ran the report a each individual period.
Linked to 1 wks using UNC path naming & verified my worksheet name is correct.
Amounts being eliminated at Consolidated Company level.
Any comments, thoughts on potential solutions are appreciated.
Thanks,

I have the same question (0)It was suggested on the GPUG discussion 'Collaborate' forum site by Ryan Meyer w/McGladrey Seattle, that this error may be due to a release/version problem. We are on CU7 / 2.1.7044.43 and it was suggested that the issue was known in CU6 but resolved in CU8/CU9.
CU8 notations mention 'Excel Enhancements' as being included but not what those were.
Can someone confirm they have indeed resolved this issue? If I can get a second comment/confirmation my issues are resolved in the newer releases, I can work with my consultant to perform an upgrade (which we just upgraded to GP13/MR2012 in March) and now I need to upgrade again?
Thanks,
Frank
