Related to Dynamics 365 Online

Posted on by 1,075

Hello Community Experts,

I have a requirement where i need to add a seperate sales attachment section within sales literature.

I'm presently using dynamics 365 trial instance

I have not been given access to dynamics 365 online production or sandbox instance

I noticed sales attachment section present in sales literature form of my trial instance, but it is not present in the production instance, so is my requirement to make it work.

My question is, Do i need to build such section from scratch or since it is D365 online it will be present in the production instance and My part will only be to customize or add that?

Kindly help!

Thank You

if i understand correctly , As you have the trial instance where you can see the section Sales attachment within the Sales literature  But where as in production instance its not present

Every Dynamics 365 online instance it should be present by default under Sales module in sitemap. if you are not seeing that means it might be customized through site map by system admins?

Possibility to make it work you can customize through Ribbon workbench if you dont find that section instead of doing it from scratch.

    Thanks for the response raju

I think you are not clear about my question.

My question is no how to create!

It is about will i be able to customize that section as it is not present in the production instnce?

It has to be newly added by me or create from scratch!

    Thank you

    Hi Raju

Thanks for your quick response and the info.

The scenario is , we already have a production instance, since I'm new to D365,i dont have access, I have been asked to try use FREE Trial instance first.

So my question was if I'll get to see what i have in Free trial instance in production instance also or i need to create there from scratch or is there entity already present which I'll be able to add in the production instance.

As per my observation trial instance got updated recently, so i have this question.

    Thank you

Select the site map Site Map icon, and then select Sales Literature.

    Select New.

Fill in the information such as Title, Subject, and Type. Use the handy tooltips as a guide.

    Sales Literature form

In the Sales Attachments section, select the More Commands button More Command button, and then select Add New Sales Attachment.

    Add New Sales Attachment option

In the New Sales Attachment form, enter a Title and Abstract for the attachment, and then select Choose File to select a file to be attached.

There are two ways to send the sales literature to other users:
