Hello,

I would like to send custom email messages from current logged in user when certain fields in PO is updated.

I know that Alerts can be used, but in it, I will have to fix the service account or specific user account to always send an email. This we don't want. I want to send email from curreng logged in user.

I have used SysEmailTable::sendEmail() method to send email from email distribution batch and used Microsoft Graph API. I am stuck and getting this error:

I can confirm the Microsoft Graph API has correct permission since I am able to send email through print management using email as destination.

Any kind of pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have used OOB method to send email.

                            SysEmailTable::sendMai(
                                SysEmailTable.EmailId,        // Email template ID.
                                SysEmailTable.DefaultLanguage,          // Language
                                [ReceipientAddress],         // To email.
ValueParameterMap, // Map object type parameters to replace in template
                                null, // No attachment
                                null, // no xml
false, // Use email distribution batch
curUserId()); // Sender - Current user

    Hi Jeff,

Is the emailing through print management using the same user account as the current user? If not, you can check settings in Microsoft 365 admin center if the account can be used to send email on behalf of.

Thanks Andre and Layan for your responses.

Is it all possible to send email from current logged in user by avoiding "Send As and Send on Behalf" ?

Let me know how to achieve this. Looking forward for the guidance.

    Hi Jeff,

In this case, Dynamics 365 will send the email on behalf of, so you can't bypass this option in Microsoft 365 admin center.

I dont want to use service account, I want to send email from current logged in user.

If this is a known limitation to not be able to send email from current loggin user, then pls provide Microsoft documentation.

if its possible to send from current user, then how can i achieve it. Any user account setting I need to in azure or office admin?
