GUID - Actual Data (SQL CRM Database)

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

We are trying map the SQL CRM data to a new system. The actual data doesn't appear on the output sheet but numeric values appear which are GUIDs *{879B70A5-4ABC-E411-80C6-000D3A30A90A}. I require the actual data to appear as Employee Id : 120987

    Hi

It all depends upon how you plan (methods) to do so.

Are you using any tool? How many entities you are going to import (and how many lookup fields in that)?

yes that is correct, its a lookup field. How do i get the actual value on the table for that specific look up field? any idea?

    Hi

I think you are talking about the lookup field.

If your current record is referring another table then you would have the GUID value (foreign key).

on the table, when we add a field called employee name, numeric values come up instead of text data.

Try to have column for GUID as its more helpful, plus with your required data as you wish

    Hi

    I am not sure.

If you are creating the table, why cannot you add this Account Id column to that table.

Tables are created based on the required fields and then the SQL data is extracted
