Print receipt to PDF from CPOS

Hi,

I'm trying to setup CPOS to print receipt to PDF.

I've installed the hardware station, configured it in the store and paired it in the CPOS.

In hardware profile I've setup Windows driver printer and set the device name as "Microsoft Print to PDF", but CPOS keeps throwing error "No active hardware station is available."

I've tried the same hardware profile with MPOS, and it is printing the receipt to PDF.

Is it possible to print receipt to PDF in CPOS?

Thanks.

pretty old topic, but we are facing a similar requirement of printing on A4 windows printer from Store Commerce for Web.
Did you manage to print PDF document?

RE: Print receipt to PDF from CPOS

    Esther,

We did this but it was completely outside of the context of hardware station. We had issues with trying to print to PDF via hardware station and had to abort that approach. I cannot confirm if it's technically not supported, but we could not make this option work for us.

Instead, we had the receipt generate a new browser window and then the print functionality of the browser came into scope to support the actual printing of the receipt.

Validate your solution plan here - docs.microsoft.com/.../retail-peripherals-overview

    Flow went like this

    - Complete transaction

    - Receipt preview open a new browser window where you could print to your available printers (PDF, network printer, etc...) without the need of a hardware station.

    - We extended the journal to also be able to reprint by opening a browser window and repeating what was listed above.

    I hope this helps
