Copy a security role and apply it to a Business-unit level only - is this possible?

I have create two child business units that are independent business legal entities. They sit under a holding company (parent company).

I need to ensure that they only see their own records (accounts, cases. contacts etc). 

I have taken an existing security role, copied this, and I am now making a new role where everything is reduced to business unit level:

There are hundreds of small micro changes I have to make here, so I was wondering if there is a setting that I am missing where I can copy a role, and then apply it to a BU level only?

I.e. if the role itself has Account organisation level access, then it will force it to business unit. Is this possible?

    Hi Brad, 

    As far as I know, there isn't a way to set a an entire security role to give Business Unit level access only by an out of box setting unless you edit the access levels for the privileges. 

    However, to minimize the effort what you can do is, click on the Privilege column heading multiple times and you can change the entire column to required access level. Also, you can click on the entity itself and change the entire row to the required access level. 

    For example: Click on campaign or marketing list to adjust the access level for the entire row. Click on read, write etc to adjust the access level for the entire column.
