I am trying to work out licenses for Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise include the Marketing module (Customer Insights Journeys?) or if that needs to be purchased separately.

Thank you,
I have the same question (0)

Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise does not include the Marketing module (formerly known as Customer Insights Journeys) by default. The Marketing module is a separate product and requires its own license. If you need marketing automation, customer journey management, and related features, you will need to purchase Dynamics 365 Marketing licenses in addition to your Sales Enterprise licenses.

For accurate pricing and licensing details, it’s best to consult your Microsoft representative or partner, as licensing can vary based on your organization's needs and agreements.

    Hello Rodney - Data-Driven,

A Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise license does not include the Customer Insights - Journeys (formerly known as the Marketing module) functionality.  They are separate licenses.

    Here's a breakdown:
    • Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise: This license provides access to core sales features like lead and opportunity management, sales forecasting, and reporting.
    • Dynamics 365 Customer Insights - Journeys: This is a separate license (or app) that provides marketing automation capabilities like email marketing, customer journey mapping, event management, and lead nurturing.

Therefore, you need to purchase the Customer Insights - Journeys license (or subscribe to the Marketing app) in addition to your Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise licenses if you want to use marketing automation features.  They are not bundled together.

It's important to note that Microsoft sometimes offers packages or bundles that include both Sales and Marketing apps at a discounted price.

It's worth checking with your Microsoft sales representative or partner to see if any such offers are currently available.  However, the standard Sales Enterprise license itself does not include Marketing.
