I have a client that has a series of reports with reporting trees on them. When the report is generated and we click "Select All" for the Reporting Units, the reports generate fine. When we choose only the Summary Level for the Reporting Unit, the report errors out with a message 'An unknown error has occurred while processing report'. They are on CU6 of Management Reporter 2012 and they have a workaround of generating the report for all Reporting Units. But has anyone else experienced this error? Is this just standard MR functionality now?
I find it odd that the reports generate fine with the whole tree selected but errors out when only the Summary Level is selected. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

We've run into this as well. Are there any updates as to why we are unable to run a Summary Level that we cannot have financial, account and transaction selected?
Hi Mariano,
The reason that I did not include a description of their Row, Column and Tree is because they have the same issue across multiple reports. And I've experienced this issue with at least two clients who have different reports and account structure.
Either way, their account structure is three segments: Office-Account-Job. The Row is built off of the Account segment and is very basic, just links to account numbers, a few description rows and subtotals throughout. The tree is built off of the Office segment. The report is being generated for one company. The Column Layout has three columns using the FILL column type, one DESC column, a Current Period column and a YTD column.
I did find a work-around which is to change the Detail Level from Financial, Account and Transaction to just Financial. When I do this and choose the Summary Level on the tree, the report generates with no error. When it is set to FInancial, Account and Transaction and I choose the Summary Level, I get the error.
The reason you have not gotten any answers so far to your question has more to do with the fact that we cannot wrap our mind around how your row, column, and tree definitions are setup. Can you describe these, and in particular your column definition?
