I am a Project Manager, tasked with organizing a tool set for my organization's PMO. We have been having issues finding a solution for integrating data from Microsoft Dynamics NAV (preferably two-way) with any of our current tools. The idea is to pull data from Nav (and hopefully sync with NAV from another application) and pool that data with at least one other data source, in a centralized location for the purposes of automated reporting and projections. Specifically, the time and charge code fields would be necessary.
Ideal integrations would be as follows:
- Jira Cloud
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Microsoft Excel
- Work Otter
Any of these integrations may provide the solution we are looking for. Our organization wants to take data from either Excel or Jira Cloud and combine it with data from NAV to calculate things like Planned vs Actual reports. I understand that things like Webhooks or REST APIs are potentially used, but I am not educated enough in those solutions to know if they would work for what we are intending to do. Alternatively, we would like to find a solution or add on that would allow NAV to sync data from another application to achieve the same result. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am open to applications, add-ons, or procedures to solve this issue. The amount of time spent in manual data entry is what we are attempting to reduce.
