Mechanism to compare duties and privileges in a role

Please may I request assistance.

We have the standard security roles that have been deployed as part of our system implementation. As per best practice we have copied the standard role and amended the new role according to our company requirements.

I would like to compare the privileges or duties in the system at the following levels:

- Compare 2 roles

- Compare privileges at a user level ( for example one user is able to perform an action and another user cannot- How can I easily identify differences in the profiles?)

Note without downloading and running v-lookups in excel. Are there standard functions in NAXT that can enable me to do so?

Hello,

Using Excel is the only standard way of doing this I'm afraid. What is NAXT?

Hi Kim,

Please explain to us what you mean by NAXT. You used this also in another question. Is this an abbreviation or a name of an ISV solution?

You can export the security configuration using the Data Management features. The role, duties, and privileges contents are stored as separate XML files if you download the data package. You can then use a text comparison tool to compare two distinct roles or privileges.
