Inventory Issues LotSerButton not enabled via Object Model

We are using the Object Model to write issue transactions for lot tracked items. Some of these items are FIFO lot tracked. For those items, we click the LotSerButton, delete the auto-assigned lots, and assign the lot required by our integration. It is not necessarily the lot selected by the FIFO selection algorithm.

At some point, the LotSerButton behavior via the object model has changed and is not enabled. Clicking the button in code raises a "command button is disabled" exception.

Has this been addressed in a service release and/or is there a fix or workaround. The calling code has been in place for some time, so I have to think something changed in the object model.

The version I am testing against is 8.00.20427.00.

Thank you!

The problem was caused by the Object Model disabling the Lot/Serial Button when the transaction date value was set. Don't know why it does this (it is a bug), but it is what it is. Doing the same steps through the UI for a given item does not disable the Lot/Serial Button.

My workaround is to not set the transaction date until after I've updated the lot/serial information. I.e. the Lot/Serial Button stays enabled and allows me to click it via code (set value to True) up until the point I update the transaction date.

Have you tried something like this?

    sivMyApp.Controls("cmdMR(2)").Properties("Value") = True

Or can you add the code.
