Hi everyone!,

I would like to know how I could get information about how to adapt Dynamics 365 Business Central for an automotive workshop activity (from vehicles maintenance and reparation to a parts rebuilder and maker). Thank you all in advance.

If this is to mould a process around standard functionality I would start with jobs. It’s in the cheaper of the license options. You can draw together resources and other costs and work on different billing models.

The more expensive choice would be service management. I would do plenty of testing on it before progressing as it is rigid and I’ve had to adjust it to fit for organisations

Josh,

Thanks for your help. I know about theses matters related with licensing. I would like to know if I could get a "module" or a "vertical" specially fitted for a garage activity. In addition to this we also rebuild automotive parts, so that means we would like this "module" as well. Because I'm afraid the standard one doesn't fit as well as we would like. Thank you.

There is a vertical solution on Business Central which is built specifically for automotive requirements.

It gathers vehicle management, garage services, and many other functionalities.

I worked in collaboration with the owner of this solution, it's one of our partners.

Really?, it would be fantastic. Actually, and as you say, we combine different activites and gather all of them in one vertical solution is our target (services and rebuilding activities mostly). But if we have the possibility to get your work it should be easier. So please tell me how we could acquire your software.

I know about them, but I am told they are 1. not running the newest version of BC and 2. They do not develop their solution in BC Extensions.

Where should one go to find a list of best BC Automotive solutions?
