How to set Width and height for a multiline control on a form

I have a field with size of 500 Characters

This field is added to a form

I have changed the property to multiline. Now the height and width has changed.

I hav tried to change the properties display Height Mode to fixed and Height to 2 and Display length mode to fixed and a display length of 125

However the height and length of the field is not changed.

Is there a way to define the height and width of a textfield which is defined as a Multiline field at a form

I have the same question (0)

    I found a way.

I added a form group control with pattern fill text and inserted my field into this. Then it looked nicer , but I can't control the size

    Hi Eric

As per requirement, fill text control will be good for multiline fields. It will give you a system defined width and height as per your characters length.

    Hi ErikKornerup,

For Fill text , there is an open issue:

The pattern currently sets the HeightMode property of the control to SizeToAvailable. This can produce very tall string controls if the pattern is used in a SizeToAvailable container. We’re investigating whether this control should use SizeToContent height, or whether it should not set the property at all and should instead let the developer decide the appropriate control height.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/user-interface/fill-text-subpattern

You can change Group container control's Height Model  to Manual,But no Width Model property there.

Please share your screenshots, many thanks.
