Adding sub-grid to a Reference Panel throws error: The color code isn’t valid. Use a valid hexadecimal value.

While trying to add any subgrid to a reference panel I'm getting this weird "The color code isn’t valid. Use a valid hexadecimal value." error pop-up that's preventing me from adding sub-grid. I'm able to add quick view forms though. I'm not sure which color code is this talking about? Tried with multiple entities with same result.

Is support ticket the only way forward?

    Hi Abhisek,

Are you using the legacy or the modern form editor?

From my tests, I was only able to customize a Reference Panel from the legacy form editor, and didn't encounter any error message while adding a subgrid to a reference panel.

Please share additional details on where exactly you have this error.

As you said, you can also raise a Support Request to get help in troubleshooting that issue: https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/support.

Thanks Henry! Yes, my first instinct was to try this out from the new editor but reference panels are not even there.

Legacy editor is where I'm facing this issue.

Let me check with support, as this could be specific to our environment.

I had the same issue, but I managed to solve it.

It turns out to be a problem with CRM themes and high contrast settings.

Please check in your personal settings (gear icon>personalization settings>general) if "Enable high contrast" is active. If it's active, that's the issue - deactivate it, it should work now.
