Latency - Chat

How can you decrease Omni-Channel Chat latency?  Is there a optimizing tool or enhancement for the longer distance to the instance in another part of the world?   Response time to/from is averaging average 280-300ms (long distance is a factor and we understand this as a factor) however, the threshold MS keeps to 'Keep alive' is lower like 230ms, maybe lower depending what IP you hit. So our longer distance connections are facing latency connection to MS Omni-Channel chat.  We checked our devices, network, wire sharked it, w/no actionable result to pull down the connection time.  Any ideas?

    If you have latency issues, check if it makes sense to have a different environment provisioned closer to end-users.  For example, if environment is provisioned in the UK (CRM11) users in EMEA region can get an acceptable response time, but users in APAC might not.  Provisioning a different environment in a closer region (For example APAC, CRM5) might be an improvement for those users.  OF course, this means data would stay within that region and wouldn't exist on the original environment.
