E-Class in Inventory

Hello All

What is E class in item master data? and what is this used for?

I have received an email from my corporate to correct the e-class in system as we need to calculate Purchase price variance report out of system.

Pls help me to understand this terminology.

    Hello Daud,

    As far as i know there is nothing called E-Class in inventory as a standard feature.

    It might be a type a class/category of your products, your inventory can be organized and managed by groups, categories, and/or classes.

    Please provide more info if you can, like the purchase price variance report and a screen shot of some of your items.

    It is probably referencing this:

    wiki.eclass.eu/.../Main_Page

    This is however not a standard in AX. You need  to find out this on your own or make use of your Dynamics Partner that developed this.
