Not able to see Dynamics 365 App for Outlook under Settings - D365

Hi All,

I wanted to enable Dynamics 365 App for Outlook for a few users. I used to see the option under Settings initially. But when I remembered to add a few users after quite a while, I'm not able to find the option.

Users are enabled for ServerSideSync and also the default methodology of Process Emails for under Email settings are set to Server Side Sync. Could I be missing anything?

Kindly advise.

Whats your dynamics 365 version? If it is v9 then app for outlook is not yet available.

No, it's not V9. I'm still on December 2016 D365 version.

Go to Setting -> Administration -> Preview Tab & enable it there to enable this feature.

with new version of dynamics 365 its been changed the way you enable this

That's strange!

This was in preview in the CRM 2016 version and a Production release in Dynamics 365 December 2016 version, I believe.

Any links for this information, though?

Hi Manoj,

I believe the one that you mentioned for is for v9.0. I'm on the December 2016 release of D365 Online.

Hi Manoj,

I had followed the above steps when this was in Preview the very first time it came out.

I believe this was a Production release in 8.2 version.

Please confirm if this is correct.

Hi Manoj,

I found what I was looking for. Had to go here: https://[Your_Organization].crm.dynamics.com/tools/appsforcrm/AppForOutlookAdminSettings.aspx

and this will rightly open up the D365 App For Outlook in your v8.2 as well.
