Using Dex16.0 To Develop GP2013 or Lower

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi all, just wanna know if it is possible to install new instances of Dex 16 to develop/maintain GP2013, GP2010, GP10 customizations? I checked the internet and cannot find any article regarding this. TIA

Yes I already checked that. It's just that I'm trying to have one source code control for GP10 to GP2016R2 customizations. I guess that's not possible with VSTS :( Anyway, thanks for the help!

I think you are having issues because of versions. Check the below post of Mariano Gomez

    Thank you for your reply.

The reason I asked this was because I am trying to use Visual Studio Team Services as our Dexterity Source Code Control. We have customizations from GP 10 to GP2016 R2 and I cant make VSTS to work with Dex13 or lower. We are currently using VSS as source code control. Do you have any suggestion?

Better if you install respective version of dexterity for GP2013,GP2010 and GP10, sometimes it cause problems especially when you use dexterity utility for creating chunk.
