Custom Smartlist that shows company specific data

Hello,

I've created loads of smart lists but just realised that they show data from the company (database) it was created from when companies are switched.

foe example We use 2 main companies on GP , say A and B.  we use primarily use Company A so I've created a number of smart lists on Company A (using tables from Company A database). now I want to use these same smart lists to show data from Company B when I switch companies.(using Company B database)

I see that out of the box smart lists on GP does this shows Company A data when in Company A and Shows Company B data when on Company B.

could someone advise please if this is possible.

Thanks

Yes, it will show all data from both companies combined.  You can then just add the Company ID column then use it as a restriction if you want to switch which data are showing.

    Hello

Well I've done both types really.. I have smartlists I've created using stock GP tables on Smartlist Builder and then I've got ones that look at SQL views.

This particular one I'm concerned about is just a normal Smartlist created by joining IV00101 and IV00102 on Smartlist Builder.

I just want it to show company specific data when switched between companies.. I tried the multi-company option as explained on the Guide. does it show data from all companies in same smartlist?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Did you use Smartlist Builder to create these smartlist object or did you use SQL to create SQl views and then added them in Smartlist builder?

If you created this with just out-of-the-ox Smartlist, it should be usable for all companies regardless which company you created it.

If you used Smartlist Builder, you need to turn on MultiCompany access to the object.  Refer to the link below regarding this (page 42):

If you have smartlist designer, you may be able to do it.  Otherwise, I do this using SQL - have data from 6 companies combined for reporting
