In using CRM Online 8.2 with server side sync to Exchange Online (sames tenant) and the lightweight app for Outlook is enabled.
I'm trying to resolve some sync issues where contacts have been created in Exchange which shouldn't have been. This is down to the sync settings and sync filters. I understand how they got there and am happy with that side.
My issue is that with my testing I have contacts created in Dynamics, which have synced to Exchange correctly. I then make a change trying to 'unsync' them. The contact is left as an Outlook contact.
If I then set the sync filters back to normal, new contacts sync as expect but any updates to old ones don't sync (the Exchange contact is left out of date).
My question is two parts really, how do I fix the sync once it's set back to OOB (i.e. the Exchange contacts are updated according to CRM). Secondly, how do I ensure that contacts are removed from Exchange if they don't match the sync filters.
I'm happy testing various things with my account but I can't realistically go in to each users Exchange to manually delete the contacts that shouldn't be synced (though a way of identifying them in Outlook would be useful).
