Security entry point permissions: not seeing transactions

Hi

In the menu option Organisation Administration --> Setup --> Security Entry Point Permissions, when I run "Open the security test workspace", I don't see any transactions, although there are plenty available. Is that the functionality or did I not set something up correctly that is preventing me from seeing the transactions (i.e. projects, purchase orders, journals etc.)? Thank you for your help.

Abaw

    Hi Andre

    You got it! Again... :-)

When I went into the Global Address Book Parameters, the parameter under security policy options were set to "Secure by address book", while no teams were assigned. Disable it and presto!

    Exact instructions:

Navigate to Organisation Administration --> Setup --> Global Address Book --> Global address book parameters

Then navigate to the "Secure by address book" section. Choose the security that applies and make sure you follow it through; i.e. set up the teams if you'll use them.

    Thanks!

    Hi Abaw,

This might be related to address book security. Can you verify if this is enabled and/or the settings for Address books and assigned teams are correct here?

    Hi Andre

Yes, I am using the Security Development Tool.

The issue happens regardless of the role I select. For example, when I take the standard security role "Purchasing Manager", I see no suppliers, no purchase orders.

Not sure what I've missed as I am quite certain I should be seeing data. When I use my own account, I see hundreds of suppliers and purchase orders.

    Hi Abaw,

I assume you are using the Seurity development tool. First you have to select a role name. Then you can open the test workspace. Did you specify a role name and which? Does the selected role has the permissions required to see the transactions?
