I imported the Activity Feeds Solution and it appeared to be successful.

I followed the post install entity adds and when I click on "What's new", I get this message:

Is there someplace where I am supposed to enable my account?

When you import the activity feeds solution it also imports a new security role called "Activity Feeds" which it doesnt add to the Administrative user by default. I am not sure that this is actually the answer in this case, but certainly worth just adding your admin user to this role from the Users area in Administration and see if it helps!

    CLOSE!  But that didn't help.

Yes, there is not an activity feeds sercuirty role and I added it to my account but it is still getting the same error.  I am going to keep playing with this to see what I can drum up.

    Thanks!

Do you see any permissions missing on the Security Role you are assigned to?

Are there any new roles created after you imported the solution?

Yea, it isn't working at all.

Now, i am trying to remove it and it is locking up the Dynamics Server.

I am surprised at all of this.

This makes my day so much brighter today...

    yeaaaaaaa

    Phillip,

Can you hide the Activity Feed section while you troubleshoot?

Excellent questions, Gus.  But I am not sure how to hide the Activity Feed Section.

I have looked online and found some "hack" means that says is not Microsoft approved.

Can you provide me a link on how to properly hide it?

I've had got the same issue on my MS Dynamics On-premise. I've manged to resolve it with adding the CRM site to Local Internet zone (not to Trusted) and using the correct access address (you can get it in Deployment manager).

Also had the same error and solved it by:

    1) adding the activity feed role to the user

    2) add the CRM site to Trusted Zone (unlike Gleb :-))

    3) change settings in IE to allow mixed content since my CRM had https

    4) using the name of the server to acess the CRM site (not "localhost" or ip)

    Hope this helps
