Security Permission to restrict importing at the entity level

Hi,

I have restricted importing on the Core records tab, so removed this right against Data Import, Import source file and Data Map,  however there is a custom entity which users need to have full access to, they currently have all rights apart from the right to delete. The 'Import Data' option is still visible on screen at the entity level, is there any way I can remove this?

Basically I need the users to have no import rights at all.

Spaz

You might also have to remove permissions from Web Wizard, Web Wizard Access Privilege and Wizard Page.

Just check if it works otherwise please share the screenshot as Necdet has suggested.

    Hi Necdet and Kashif,

Thank you for your responses, I basically recreated the role, removed all the importing permissions on the Core Records tab and gave full access to the particular custom entity and it now works as required i.e. the 'Import Data' button is not available on the entity screen, the web permissions seemed not to effect this.

    Thanks

    Hi Spaz,

I want to allow import on particular entities, but to restrict imports on all other entities. Actually I want to restrict imports to core records, but to allow it on specific entities.

How do I achieve this objective?

if you want to user import for specific entities and not import in Core Entities.

in that case you can write a plugin on Message "Import" as check condition

    1. Which user is importing the data
    2. On which entity data is going to import
