The Microsoft Tech for Social Impact team is thrilled to announce the June 2020 v2.3 release of the Common Data Model for Nonprofits and Nonprofit Accelerator is now live.  This valuable release will power our partners and the nonprofit sector in several critical ways:

  • Small nonprofits will benefit from Nonprofit Operations Toolkit, a model-driven Power Platform application that can be extended by partners to automate project, award, budget, and time & expense management. Staff can also enter their project time and expenses from any mobile device.
  • Organizations who manage cases and provided staged services to beneficiaries will benefit from the Case Management extensions we've added to the CDM. Partners can extend the Case Management sample app and data to finished product.
  • All nonprofits will benefit from the Program Management & Program Design CDM extensions, which further our investment to partners in helping nonprofits execute on program effectiveness, from the initial design of the program to the delivering successful program outcomes.

We encourage you to Test Drive the nonprofit accelerator on AppSource and access the solution assets on GitHub to start building solutions. There have never been a more critical time to deliver nonprofits easy-to-use, affordable solutions, and we look forward to sharing these developments and invite you to reach out to us at Microsoft.com/nonprofits.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your questions!

    1. The Nonprofit Accelerator is made up of a number of managed packages. The majority only have a dependency on Power Apps, with the exception of Volunteer Management (PSA dependency), Nonprofit Sales and IATI (D365 Sales dependency).  More information can be found here: docs.microsoft.com/.../nfp-accelerator

    2. Managed packages for each data schema are available via AppSource (appsource.microsoft.com/.../msnfp.msftnonprofitcommondatamodel or GitHub (github.com/.../releases)

    3. I suggest connecting with Greg Teich (grteich@microsoft.com) who runs business applications partnerships for Tech for Social Impact. He can point you in the right direction.

    Hope that helps!

RE: Dynamics 365 Nonprofit Accelerator v2.3 now available - June 2020

    Hello, Laurie,

Thank you for the news. I have a few questions regarding NfP accelerator:

    1. What is the main platform it integrates with - CE or F&O? What platform is the prerequisite?

    2. Is it managed or un-managed solution?

    3. Where could I find list of Deployment Partners who deployed the accelerator in the UK? I would prefer talking specifically to partners who worked with this accelerator and, ideally, who worked with NetHope organisations

    Many thanks
