Just upgraded client from 6.5 to 2011FP1. They use Transaction Import for Inventory Transfers daily. They are now experiencing an error on about 30% of their line items. System Message 28507 "Requested quantity is On Hand but also requested by another process. Continuing will cause the other process to fail with 'insufficient quantity available'. OK to continue?" That gets followed with a "'System Message 8002: Error In Field: cQty Value:" The import fails.

They allow negative quantities and there is nothing wrong with how the import is formatted. I removed the "bad" line items and it imports just fine. I can't find anything on that system message and not sure why it goes hand in hand with the quantity.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Kristin,

Did you figure this one out yet? We believe those items are requested on another process, such as a sales order or an adjustment. Do you have any unreleased INTran records for those inventory id's?
