Wrong form is loaded when loading form editor after 2016 Update 2 (8.2.1.1.176) on-premise

We've just updated our on-premise deployment to Dynamics 365 (2016 Update 2 (8.2.1.1.176)) and I've noticed that when clicking the 'Form' editor button from within a record a specific form will always be loaded, regardless of which one you have selected at the time.  This doesn't even appear to be the first form in the load order, so it seems to have no pattern.

It also manifests when other users attempt to merge 2 records, with the fields displayed on the merge window based upon the form that loads in the form editor by default.  If the user doesn't have permission to use that form then the field values all come back as 'Unknown'.

Has anyone noticed this behaviour?

    Hi Craig,

from what I've seen, it's always the first form in the load order, but I've only noticed this in 365 online (did not try with on-prem):

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for the reply.  Yes you're right! I've done some tests with the form order and what confused me was that we had 2 forms with the same name, one was inactive and the active one was at the bottom of the form order list, so I didn't see it.

It's a frustrating 'feature', but at least I can manage it now.

    Thanks!
