In Sales Transaction Entry, select 'Additional>>Manufacturing Sales item Detail" and click on the Generate MO button. There may be other setup required. You can find instruction in the Help files for this window.
From there, after you fulfill the manufacturing order, does the Sales Order get automatically updated at some point with the created item?
No, you have to fulfill the sales order separately.
