Inventory closing error in AX2009

When we are closing the inventory till the end of 31/12/2009, getting and error message as follows:

"Cannot edit a record in Inventory Transaction(InventTrans). An update conflict occured due to another user process deleteting the record or changing one or more field in the record"

If anybody know please let me know.

hi sebastian

it happen because when calculation are using the same table inventtrans

how to solve it, calculation --> resume calculation

perhaps you will find this error again, but with different items, just continued to resume

Hi,

you could try to stop/start the AOS and try again. Maybe there is a user who is blocking the item with an update in the inventtrans table. After the AOS has restarted you start blank again. If this does not resolve the issue, you probably need a develop to debug, because most likely there is something in the inventtrans data.

Hi,

Is it still possible to resume the calculation? Via Inventory Management - Periodic - Close and adjust you should go the the line which is in error. Use the calculation button to resume if possible. Since the close and adjust function updates the inventory transactions it is recommended not to use this function during normal office hours, but after normal working hours. Depending on the amount of inventory transactions and period between last closing date it could take a while to process. In AX2009 you can see via using a second client, what the status is of the process. Use the calculation button to see the calculation list. Please note that after calculation of the list, the updates to the inventory transactions and posting to the ledger will also take some time.
