When SecurityPermission table gets updated?

Hi everyone,

we're facing some issues with this table. Does anyone know when it is updated ?

especially for SSRS reports, it is updated on deployment ? a way to refresh it if it is wrong ?

For forms is it updated on compilation ?

If anyone had some info regarding this table it would be a great help

Hi,

Could you provide some more information about the issue(s) you are facing and any process/steps that led to this situation.

This table contains the list of permissions that have been specified on the AOT nodes/object like forms, reports, security code permissions, and service operations. It will not get updated on form compilation.

I have heard of implementations where functionals/end users were doing security customizations in a Live environment, not realizing that security privilege/duty/role changes are actually AOT modifications on the USR layer (or wherever they were logged on).

Whenever a new AX ModelStore has been released during maintenance, the changes were gone if they were not merged to the source environment beforehand, from which the developers were doing the release.

Maybe you are facing the same issue?

The solution is to not make security customizations via the AX client UI, leave that to your technical team and let them deploy it via the proper build and release processes.

We have had also one issue around financials and how the security cache was handled, which has been hotfixed long time ago by Microsoft. Make sure you are sitting on the latest Release version / Cumulative Update and kernel binary hotfix to rule out such issues.

Hi,

sorry for not replying, acces denied from office to Microsoft Communities, I don't know why, it used to be possible. Then I reply from home. The problem is missing lines for tables and server reports for some reports. We have a workaround to copy ssrs permissions to the security privilege or to export and re-import the ssrs report but we shouldn't have to do this. I have to find the cause of the issue or to developp a tool to check that this table is complete. Sorry for the delay. No link with customizations. Have a good evening. Sandrine
