Hello-
Has anyone found a way to use the core, HR Attendance module or PTO Manager to track the new California Paid Sick Leave legislation? I really like Integrity Data's Comprehensive Leave Manager for this, however, I have customers who don't have the budget for buying add-on solutions. Any help on using core, GP HRP would be appreciated! (for GP 2010 and GP2013)
Thank you!
Jeannette

Thanks for the response, Terry. I spoke with a consultant in CA and she said a couple of her customers are setting it up in HR using the "Post Once" method to give employees the 24 hrs available every year. It is tricky, so you're right... if you need something more detailed that handles the waiting periods, etc., you need to look into a product such as Integrity Data's Comprehensive Leave Manager.

Hi Jeannette,
Nice to hear from you. In support I think we have used hours worked calculation with a maximum set and have set it up for both HR and PTO Manager in this fashion. I know the customers I have worked with are more willing to be lenient and give them the time then the opposite. You can set it up and put a maximum on it and seems to work for the most part. I'm not up on all the changes for CA sick but if you want a detailed solution you will want to look at an ISV as we do not put in changes for state specific regulations.
Hope this helps, thanks
