Are there strategies for shrinking the size of the database?

our database backup file has grown over the years to presently over 940MBytes(!)

I did the thing in Administrator to delete Audit logs; that shrank the .bck to 850MBytes which is I guess better than nothing but I was hoping for more.

the only other choice I saw was to delete all transactions; but I didn't want to do that.

I have a setup of scripts that I run to remove old sales data. You will want to do a backup for archive first. You can contact me if you would like mark@hegstrom.biz

Hi Ed! There are quite a few things that can be done by running SQL Scripts in RMS Administrator to reduce the Db size. Are you familiar with running SQL Scripts in RMS Admin? If not, talk to your Microsoft Dynamics RMS Partner - they can usually perform the work in around an hour.
