    Hi Thomas,

Can you please tell me, Have you already Posted the Documents and system have created the general Ledger Entries.

As If it's already posted against specific Document number then you have to update through Configuration Package, first you have to export all G/L Entries with Dimension Field Column then after updating the Excel you need to import that data but while doing this need to take care.

But if in case that document is not posted yet, export the document via Config Package update the Dimension Value and import it and create one Job queue to post it in a single shot.

    Hopei it will help you.

    Many Thanks

    Aman Kumar

The best way for you would be to add a customization to your system so you can add more than 2 shortcut dimensions to your General Journal lines.

Once that is done it is pretty easy to add a function that also will let you import transactions from Excel into your general journals for posting.

I recommend you discuss these requirements with your partner.

You can also have a look at this app:

    Dear Aman,

    Dear Inge,

thanks for your advices, also for the link to the xls tool.

As you recommended we discussed with our partner and found a solution via the configuration package.

    My "errors" were

    - I did not mark to show the dimensions as column

    - I did not setup which fields to show

    - also for account coloumn it was needed to activate the reference option

    Now it works

    Thanks for your input

    Thomas
