Error in process "Adjust Exchange Rate" and "VAT Posting Setup"

Hello,

I am receiving this error message "The VAT Posting Setup does not exist. Identification fields and values: VAT Bus. Posting Group='',VAT Prod. Posting Group='' when I try to complete the process "Adjust Exchange Rate".

I reviewed the "VAT Posting Setup"and there is no empty configuration in "VAT Bus. Posting Group" either in "VAT Prod. Posting Group"

What should be the root cause of this error?

Thanks in advance

Normally a G/L account involving VAT should not be included in the Adjust exchange rate process. Do you know what G/L account the transaction that is faling is posted on?

If you are not able to figure out that I think you might are best of if you ask your partner to debug this together with you.

RE: Error in process "Adjust Exchange Rate" and "VAT Posting Setup"

    hi

it seems that there is a missing VAT posting setup for either the "VAT Bus. Posting Group" or "VAT Prod. Posting Group" fields.

One possible cause of this error could be that the VAT posting setup was not properly configured or was deleted by mistake. Another possibility is that the VAT posting setup was not applied correctly to the respective "VAT Bus. Posting Group" or "VAT Prod. Posting Group" fields.

To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps:

Verify that the VAT posting setup exists and is correctly configured for the "VAT Bus. Posting Group" and "VAT Prod. Posting Group" fields. Make sure that there are no empty or missing configurations in the setup.

Check the posting setup for other related fields, such as "Gen. Bus. Posting Group" and "Gen. Prod. Posting Group". Sometimes, errors in these fields can affect the VAT posting setup.

If the VAT posting setup appears to be correct, try refreshing the page or logging out and logging back into Business Central to see if the error persists.
