No Posted sales tax transaction in Tax ledger account

Hi all,

I got an issue as below:

In the transaction, I did declare the Sales tax code for Tax ledger account line already, but when I check "Posted sales tax" I found that there are nothing.

Does anyone here face this issue before, please share with me the root cause and how to solve this?

Hi,

Have you identified the Item sales tax group? The system generates sales tax when both Sales tax group and Item sales tax group are identified and they have mutual sales tax codes.

Hi Duong,

No, in this case I did post direct to Tax ledger account, therefore I enter "Sales tax code" only.

Other sales tax lines are okay, but only this one is missing "Posted sales tax transaction"

Hi nglehang,

The calculated and actual tax amounts fields that are shown in your screenprint show a value of $0.

What is the tax rate that is setup for your sales tax code HHDV10?

Can you also share some insights on the transaction as it seems that you want to post sales tax directly on account 133110.

Do you have the same issue with the other journal lines?

Hi Ludwig,

The Tax rate of HHDV10 is 10 %.

Yes the ledger account 133110 is Sales tax account.

Yes, calculated tax amount & Actual sales tax amount is Zero. Other lines has the same value but existing posted sales tax transaction

The two other journal lines are correct tax amount:

Hi nglehang,

If the tax calculation worked ok for the other lines for which you have used the same tax setup, then I would expect that this system behavior is caused by a bug.

Can you replicate the issue?

Have you checked the available hotfixes on LCS?

Hi nglehang,

I see. In this case I would suggest that you contact the MS support. They should be able to provide you with the correct hotfix (provided that one has already been provided). If there is none available yet, they should be able to help you out with the creation of a new one.

Hi All,

This issue due to wrong Item Sales tax group code -> wrong in setup Sales tax group therefor there are no combination between "Sales tax code" & "Sales tax group".

Need to check carefully all Sales tax setup:

- Sales tax code

- Item sales tax group

- Sales tax group
