How many Sales orders/ Invoice proposals can be posted by D365 in a day without performance issues?

I am proposing a solution for a customer whose requirement fits sales order process but since the volume is 2million to 10 million invoices per month (seasonal volume). client is reluctant to opt for sales order invoicing. Client have proposed to use invoice proposal which I believe is counterproductive. Is there any limit when the sales invoice process will have performance issues. In my experience project invoices are also not very performance friendly but I might be wrong so would like to know if there are any limits on volume for project invoices.
I realize there are many other factors which will affect performance but looking for any responses based on consultant experiences.

Hi Vaibhav,

You will probably not get a final answer on this forum. It depends on many different variables. Is the question about Dynamics 365 in the cloud or on-premise. How many order lines would there be per order? What is the project invoice proposal about? What is the expected peak volume on specific hours? Then also sizing of the environment plays an important role.

Project invoices requires to be created with a proposal and then post them. That would indeed not recommended with 10 million of invoices.

You can perform some performance tests on a production or similar environment before going live. Dynamics 365 finance and operations apps performance testing with JMeter - Execution
