I tried to see if there was any advanced querying available with symbols such as *,?,!.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamicsax-2012/appuser-itpro/advanced-filtering-and-query-options

I was not able to get it to work. Thank you for your help.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

When you apply a filter on the lookup field and type 'AL', it applies contains search, that is why you are not getting expected results.

Instead of applying for a row filter, add a Related Entity filter.

    Try these steps:

    • Open Filter pane.
    • Click Add -> Add Related Entity.
    • Chose Teritorries (Parent) option (Contains data).
    • Then in the filter add filter Territory Name equals 'AL'.
    • This should list all territories where the parent name is exactly AL.

Hi Leah - sorry for the AX link. We have Dynamics 9.2 Online.

    Hi Tony,

And what app are you using? The second link you provide is AX, if so, you need go to the correct forum.

    Regards,

    Leah Ju
