Excel data connector - freeze at "Updating workbook" stage

Hi all,
 
Just wanna check if there's a quick fix for this bug - when using Excel data connector, sometimes it freezes at /Updating workbook/ stage forever. 
I know close the panel and add the Addin again will refresh everything, but please can someone suggests a better solution. Thanks!
