Post migration updates to set the Created By, Created On Behalf Of and Owner

We completed a migration last year and have recently heard of a couple of things that might allow us to update the data to capture some of the data we lost as part of the migration. In particular we were not aware that we could migrate stub users for people who had left the organization. As a result we were wondering if it was possible to:

  • Create the stub users now and then use these to update the Created By/Created on behalf Of and Owner fields?
  • Update the Created On and Modified On fields?

Thank you in advance for any guidance.

    Hello,

Here is how you can create Stub users - butenko.pro/.../ - check Mapping of users section.

Here is how you can tweak createdon/createdby/modifiedon/modifiedby - missdynamicscrm.blogspot.com/.../crm-2011-2013-modify-createdon-createdby-modifiedon-modifiedby-using-SDK-CSharp.html

    Good luck.
