Hi CRM Community!
As in the subject in MS Dynamics 365 Sales I see users without CRM licenses who are global admins. Those users are not in security group related to CRM instance and yet they are visible as enabled in CRM. Is this correct behavior?
Hi,
They are visible beause they have been assigned any other license such as power automate etc part from CE.
This is the reason they are visible in CRM.
Thanks for your quick response.
Some of them don't have any license and yet they're visible. And as I mentioned they aren't members of security group related to CRM, so according to Microsoft information they shouldn't be seen.
I'm wondering, if it's because they are all global admins, so they will be displayed in CRM either way, but I couldn't find any information about it.
Hi Ann,
Global administrators will be enabled within the Dynamics CRM environment, even without being a part of the security group. This is a special privilege of the Global administrator role where in they appear enabled without a license or without being a part of any security group.
A Dynamics 365 Service admin can be restricted with a security group, but Global administrators and Power Platform Service administrators cannot be restricted using security groups.
You can find these details here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/use-service-admin-role-manage-tenant#dynamics-365-service-administrator

Shaina
