Adding Price Lists

I receive price lists from many suppliers, these price lists come in deferent formats and styles, what I have been doing is to strip the price lists removing the merged cells and images from my excel sheets and saving them as .CSV, I would like to know how everyone is adding and updating their price lists as I feel my way is time consuming.

Reading about how you receive your pricelists, I guess what you currently do is the best option.

Unless you come up with a predetermined Excel or CSV format and ask your suppliers to provider you data in that format. It would be a lot easier for you to upload it through the Import utility.

Other other costlier options include developing an app and exposing it to your supplier. Your supplier can upload the an Excel sheet and the tool parses the data within an Excel sheet and inserts it into a DB. You need to then build an app to read the data from the custom DB and insert it into the CRM DB.

    What do you prefer? :-)
