We are trying to apply MS Mincho (Japanese font) to a RDLC PO report. On SQL Report Builder I see that the font is selected but when I upload the report to business central , The font is not applied. May i know why I am facing this error.

Hi, if you are using SaaS, you cannot add fonts. This is related to some font license issues.

For example, Microsoft took a long time to add fonts for BarCode.

    https://yzhums.com/20231/

And according to my tests, the best font for Japanese on SaaS is "MS UI Gothic", you can have a try.

In addition, if you are the On-Premises version, or the Docker version, you can import fonts by yourself.

    Hope this info will help.

    Thanks.

    ZHU

    Hi

I could be wrong here. But I read https://yzhums.com/18302/ that "For security and legal reasons, you cannot upload custom fonts to the Business Central environment."  See the document for available font in BC SaaS or info for on-prem

But I heard if you use Word Layout and then embed the font into word layout then make sure end users also have the font on their device then you can use some fonts in BC SaaS. For on-prem you can use custom font

    support.microsoft.com/.../how-to-embed-a-truetype-font-in-a-document-883f5212-0c1a-28df-8bb1-21273fa67e7e

I hope S.Kawamura or yzhums  can provide more help since they know more about that region BC capabilities.

    Hi,

Is your report a customized one or did you change the layout of standard PO report?

if you have customized PO report the assign the report.in Report selection purchase. Add your customized report id in Report id column.

if you have changed the font in standard PO report then you need to go report layout selection and then choose custom report and in there create a copy of standard PO report and then import your changed PO report and then add it in the Report layout selection.

You can follow the below blog to change the layout of the standard report in Business central
