Hi all,

I´m trying to create a data entity, using a table with 2 extensions as datasource, when I expand the data source fields I can see the fields that are only in one of the extensions. I tried to add the fields of the other extension using a mapped field but didn´t works.

Can somebody help me please?

I have the same question (0)

Are you both the extension in same model ? Make sure you have perform build  for both your extensions.  There is no limit on creating extensions but may I know why you created two different extensions ?

You can also do restore on data entity and see if you are able to see those fields.

    Hi Sukrut,

    Thank you for the answer.

No It isn't in the same model, each one is in a different model, including the entity, for this reason We have to different extensions. But if we try to create the entity in the same model of the problematic extension, don't works, it shows the same fields.

    Hi Mauricio,

Cyclic references between models are not allowed in D365FO, so you must have kind of a hierarchical concept when creating your models.

Imagine that you first created Model-A, then you created Model-B and added a reference to Model-A on Model-B.

This means that Model-B can see all objects from Model-A, but Model-A doesn't even know about Model-B existence.

So, in this case, if you have one extension in Model-A and another in Model-B, for your entity to see both extensions it would need to be created in Model-B.

You can try all the models  and see if that helps . First build models where table extensions are exist and then  do refresh model and check your entity .

We  dont know how you created your models , so its difficult to guess . Assuming you have  your table extensions in different model than your entity is , try to refer both those models in your entity model. As Pedro said you have to make sure you dont create cyclic references.

Thank you Sukrut, that was the problem, the entity's model didn't has the reference to the second extension's model. We added it and built the model and it works.
